Besides the trade in special bulbs and tubers, Admiraal has its own large nursery, specialized in the cultivation of Anemone, Begonia and Oxalis. Several years ago, Admiraal also started to grow Ranunculus, Trillium, Bletilla, Pleione, Achimenes and Allium ursinum.
Items in the nursery are cultivated on different locations. For example anemone seed is grown in Zeeland, anemone kernels in West Friesland and anemone buttons in the northern sandy area. Even in Belgium Admiraal is growing flowerbulbs. At this location the special begonias are grown.
In our greenhouse, Bletilla, Oxalis and Achimenes and many other smaller species are grown. Besides growing these varieties, the greenhouse is also used for sampling and selecting new species of special bulbs and tubers.
